What is this product?

Blanc Nature's 9x Concentrated Heartleaf Toner is a genuine treatment toner for congested, bumpy skin: 300ml with heartleaf extract at 100,000 ppm (10 percent) second on the list, niacinamide fifth, and both salicylic acid and gluconolactone doing the exfoliating. Do not read it as the calming toner the packaging suggests, because it also carries tea tree leaf, bergamot leaf, pine leaf and 4-terpineol among its 38 ingredients, and neither acid has a printed strength. Skip it during pregnancy for the salicylic acid, and treat the 9x as marketing, since the brand names no baseline for it and quercetin is not on the ingredient list at all.

What makes it different?

Printing 100,000 ppm for the botanical a product is named after is the strong part, and 10 percent heartleaf extract at second position is a real figure the brand repeats accurately in its own press. The 9x beside it is the weak part: no baseline is named, and quercetin, the compound the multiplier refers to, never appears on the ingredient list. What separates this from every other heartleaf toner on the shelf is the acid pair, salicylic acid and gluconolactone in one 300ml bottle, alongside the full centella quartet of madecassoside, madecassic acid, asiaticoside and asiatic acid.
