What the evidence supports
- Appearance of photoaged facial skin at 5%, versus vehicle, at 12 weeks.
- Two split face, left right randomized, double blind studies in 50 subjects each support this endpoint set.
- Appearance endpoints at 4% in an Asian cohort.
- In a randomized, double blind, placebo controlled split face trial in 52 Taiwanese subjects, the niacinamide 4% arm showed significant reductions in pore and evenness counts at week 8 and in wrinkle counts at week 12 (NIA-S6).
