What is this product?

Ma:nyo Pure Soybean Cleansing Foam (120ml and 160ml) is the rare wash that advertises being alkaline instead of hiding it, calling itself 약알칼리성 over a classic soap base: ingredients 3 through 9 are fatty acids plus potassium hydroxide. That makes it a good match for oily and combination skin that congests, and a poor first choice for dry, reactive or fragrance-sensitised skin, because five aromatic oils including bergamot, ylang ylang and rose geranium carry the scent in place of a declared 향료.

What makes it different?

Glycerin heads the list and polyquaternium-7 at position 12 is there to blunt the tightness a soap base normally leaves behind. The soybean the product is named for, 돌콩추출물, is disclosed at 0.1ppm, so read it as a name rather than an active. Ma:nyo's own 저자극 and 모든 피부용 lines also pull against the alkaline pH it markets, and the label carries no 향료 entry at all because those five botanical oils do all the scenting.
