What is this product?

Torriden's Solid In Ceramide Lip Essence is a glossy 11ml occlusive for chapped, flaking or overnight lips, and its moisture comes from petrolatum, polyisobutene and five plant oils rather than from the ceramides on the front of the tube. Torriden publishes an exact amount for each of the five ceramides, which almost no lip product does, and that openness is exactly what exposes the limit: the five add up to 1.35 ppm, or 0.000135 percent, with roughly 90 percent of that being Ceramide NP, while cholesterol and stearic acid, the other two of the classic barrier trio, sit at amounts the brand never gives.

What makes it different?

Two things stand out. Torriden prints a ppm figure for each of five individual ceramides, disclosure that is rare in Korean lip care and that, read closely, works against the marketing weight the ceramide name carries; beyond that the brand puts only two lines of text on its official page and claims no functional-cosmetic status, so there is nothing else to check it against. The format is unusual too: a squeezable 11ml tube of gloss-textured film rather than a wax stick, with no UV filter, no acid, no declared fragrance and no pigment in it.
