What is this product?

NEEDLY Mild Enzyme Cleansing Powder is genuinely mild where it counts and less mild than its name suggests where it does not. But it exfoliates three chemical ways at once, with a protease disclosed at 3,134ppm (0.31 percent), salicylic acid at 10ppm and glycolic acid at an amount NEEDLY does not print, so skip it if acids are a problem for you, if your barrier is compromised or if you are pregnant. It is sold as 60g on the brand's page and 40g in retail listings.

What makes it different?

Most powders in this category foam on soap and exfoliate on silica or kaolin; this one does neither, foaming on an isethionate plus an amino acid surfactant and doing all its exfoliating chemically. It also puts a number on the enzyme, 3,134ppm, roughly three times what another powder in the same category discloses for three enzymes combined, which turns the usual unmeasurable marketing word into something you can weigh. The cost of that design is glycolic acid sitting on the list at an amount the label never gives, so the buyer who is sold mildness cannot check the acid dose.
