What is this product?

Aestura's A-CICA 365 Moisture Toner pH 4.5 is the one to reach for when skin is reactive rather than dry: niacinamide fourth, zinc PCA and four separately named centella markers, with no fragrance, dye or essential oil in its 25 ingredients, and it is registered as a functional cosmetic under Korean law rather than only claimed to work. Read the headline numbers as marketing, though: the 626 percent hydration and 87 percent redness figures are immediate readings taken against just-cleansed skin, which is the driest and most flushed skin gets, and Aestura prints the same cooling result two irreconcilable ways: 6.8 degrees Celsius on one page and a 128 percent reduction on another, which is arithmetically impossible. Aestura publishes no measured pH either, so the 4.5 in the name is the brand's own word.

What makes it different?

Two things genuinely distinguish it: it names its centella chemistry instead of hiding behind an extract, listing asiaticoside, madecassic acid, asiatic acid and madecassoside as four separate entries, and it carries a Korean functional-cosmetic registration, which is a regulatory filing rather than a brand claim. Its safety testing is unusually well counted for this price tier: 33 adults on a 48-hour patch test, 109 adults across nine repeat applications for sensitization, and 32 women over 4 weeks for acne-prone suitability. What none of those tests publishes is a result, only that they were run, and none of them is a sebum study, which matters because Aestura separately prints a 57 percent sebum drop at 2 weeks whose only stated source is a graph.
