What is this product?

A 200 ml foaming gel cleanser from the Korean brand Torriden, sold in Korea as the Balanceful Cica cleansing gel and on the brand's own English storefront as BALANCEFUL Cleansing Gel. Forty two ingredients, opening with five surfactants at positions 3 through 7 that are amino-acid, glucoside, sultaine and betaine derived rather than soap, then a block of five centella asiatica materials at 8 through 12, capryloyl salicylic acid as an LHA exfoliant at 14, and a ceramide, panthenol and allantoin after it. No fragrance entry, no colourant, no drying alcohol; rosemary leaf oil at 41 is the one essential oil. The brand publishes a patch test on 50 people and three efficacy figures from 20 participants after a single wash, none attached to a named institution or report. The Korean statutory ingredient declaration could not be opened for this record, so the English declaration from the brand's own page is the evidence here. Suited to combination, oily and reactive skin wanting a sebum-focused second cleanse.

What makes it different?

Two things set this apart from a plain gel wash. The first is that the centella story is structural rather than decorative: the whole extract and its four purified components sit together at positions 8 through 12, so the five-part claim is readable straight off the declaration. The second is the exfoliating acid at 14, which puts a lipophilic keratolytic into an everyday wash rather than a leave-on step, and that choice is what makes this a sebum product rather than a soothing product with cica on the label.
