What is this product?
Goodal's Green Tangerine Vita C Cleansing Foam is a 150ml potassium-soap face wash. Stearic, myristic, lauric and palmitic acids neutralised by potassium hydroxide at position 5 build the soap in situ, with cocamidopropyl betaine, coco-glucoside and sodium cocoyl isethionate as secondary surfactants, which gives dense foam and a squeaky finish. The brightening actives the name promises are real but positioned as label furniture: ethyl ascorbyl ether, arbutin and niacinamide sit at positions 35, 36 and 37 of 41 in a product rinsed off within a minute, and the three hyaluronic-acid forms at 20 to 22 face the same limit. Three expressed citrus oils (bergamot, lemon peel, orange peel) carry a prominent scent, with d-limonene and linalool declared. The ingredient panel comes from a platform record bound to the platform product id and is single-source, and no brand-published product page was recovered.
What makes it different?
Two things separate it from neighbouring foam washes. First, it is an unapologetically old-fashioned soap: the fatty acids and the potassium hydroxide are both high in the order, so the lather and the squeak are designed in rather than incidental. Second, it stacks three separate tone actives (ethyl ascorbyl ether, arbutin, niacinamide), two of which are Korean notified whitening standards, and then places all three below position 34 in a rinse-off, which makes the panel a useful worked example of why format decides whether an active matters.
