What is this product?

Reach for this if you have oily or combination skin with active breakouts and marks, and you want the wiping step and the soothing step in one pass: it is a two sided pad, hook textured on one face for lifting keratin and residue, smooth and hole punched on the other for a fifteen minute sit on trouble spots. Skip it if your skin is dry or your barrier is already reacting, since the textured side is doing mechanical work; and read the two figure classes differently, because 15.04 percent trouble area soothing and 14.77 percent mark reduction come from the formula while 274 percent hydration, 94.13 percent keratin and 85.52 percent sebum and residue are readings taken right after wiping a wet pad across the face. All six cited studies used one contract laboratory and 20 people, and no report is published. pH is not disclosed by the brand.

What makes it different?

Three things separate it from the pad shelf it sits on. First, the construction is genuinely two sided rather than cosmetically textured: a hook faced towel side for wiping and a 7cm hole punched plain side meant to be left on the cheeks for fifteen minutes, which makes one product cover a wipe step and a short mask step. Second, it does its work without an exfoliating acid: searching the ingredient list for the usual acid class turns up nothing, so the keratin result comes from the textured side while the essence stays a soothing formula led by niacinamide fourth and heartleaf extract sixth at a disclosed 7,150ppm, a level most brands do not print at all. Against that, the evidence is narrower than the number of figures suggests: six human studies, one contract laboratory, 20 people each, no published report, and the largest headline numbers measure the wipe rather than the formula.
