What is this product?
Sidmool's Jojoba Lip Essence seals rather than hydrates: a 13ml tube of polyisobutene, petrolatum and microcrystalline wax with jojoba seed oil printed at 3 percent, and no water and no humectant anywhere on the list, so it holds in moisture that is already there and belongs over a hydrating step or overnight. It is sold as the unscented option, yet the label declares orange peel oil and limonene, so it is a scented product and the wrong pick if fragrance is what you avoid.
What makes it different?
Two things separate it in lip care. Sidmool puts a real amount on the hero ingredient, 3 percent jojoba seed oil, right inside the ingredient statement, which almost no lip balm does, so that one claim can be graded instead of guessed at. Everything else it promises is unbacked: ultra hydration, soothing lip flaking and bouncy lips cite no test at all, and there is no UV filter behind the broad environmental protection language.
