What is this product?

Goodal builds this one properly and then undercuts it: four vitamin C forms sit behind tranexamic acid at position 5 of 53 ingredients and niacinamide at 6, with ferulic acid at 28 completing the vitamin C plus vitamin E plus ferulic combination that published antioxidant work actually supports. The catch is five essential oils in the back half, among them bergamot and lemon peel, the citrus oils associated with phototoxic reactions, inside a serum whose entire job is daytime pigment control. Skip it if fragrance materials set your skin off, or if you will not be reliable about sunscreen.

What makes it different?

Green tangerine extract is the second ingredient of 53, unusually high for a botanical a product is named after, though the list says only tangerine and never states the fruit is unripe. The vitamin C runs four ways: 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid at 12, ascorbyl glucoside at 25, pure ascorbic acid at 32 and sodium ascorbyl phosphate at 34, none with an amount printed against it. A cellular energy trio of nicotinamide mononucleotide, nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide and adenosine triphosphate runs from 46 to 48, and nonapeptide-1 closes the list at 53. Gluconolactone at 42 makes this mildly exfoliating on top of everything else, and it comes in 30ml.
