What is this product?

Despite the word toner, this is an emulsion you use first rather than a watery step: shea butter sits 4th of 26 ingredients, with a pseudoceramide 16th, squalane 18th and phytosterols 24th, so it seals lipid in from the very start of the routine. That makes it right for skin that is dry and reactive and wrong for oily skin, and it also means the 고보습 label oversells it, because the entire water-binding side is three glycols, with no hyaluronic acid among the 26 ingredients. It is bare in the ways that matter for reactive skin: no fragrance, no essential oil, no alcohol, no acid, plus licorice-derived dipotassium glycyrrhizate 11th for irritation.

What makes it different?

Almost nothing else in the toner aisle puts a barrier lipid set in the first step, which is the whole idea here and the reason it behaves like a thin lotion rather than a toner. What you give up is layering, since pressing on extra passes builds an oil film instead of adding water, so this is a one-pass product that should be used within 12 months of opening, its preservation coming from multifunctional glycols rather than conventional preservatives. Zeroid publishes no amount for any ingredient, no pH for this product (only a 4.5 to 6.5 range for its whole line), and no test type, participant count or institution behind its claim that panels found almost no irritation. Two cautions: several fatty and polyol esters are the class fungal folliculitis reacts to, and shea butter this high in an emulsion is more than acne-prone skin usually wants.
