What is this product?

innisfree's Bija Trouble Toner is a wipe off BHA toner for oily, congested skin: salicylic acid fifteenth of 27 ingredients, used on a cotton pad, with denatured alcohol printed second. Avoid it if fragrance or alcohol is your problem, because the 7-free list rules out synthetic fragrance while nine essential oils sit at positions 17 through 26, with limonene and linalool declared separately. innisfree calls it fine for sensitive and acne prone skin on the strength of a dermatological and a non comedogenic test, and publishes no panel size, institution or result for either.

What makes it different?

The one number innisfree does publish is the one that matters least: the torreya seed oil the line is named after is printed at 500ppm, which is 0.05 percent, at position 12, while the salicylic acid actually doing the work carries no amount at all. The same brand's paired lotion prints that oil at 5,000ppm on the same set page, ten times as much, so the toner is the weaker of the two on the ingredient it is sold on. innisfree does not print a pH on either the single product page or the set page.
