What is this product?

d'Alba's Vita Capsule Cream backs its headline number precisely, printing niacinamide at 50,000ppm, which is 5 percent to the digit and the level the research actually used. What the same disclosure shows is that the other vitamins are decorative: ascorbic acid at 0.001 percent, tocopheryl acetate at 15ppm, menadione at 0.00005ppm. It is also a heavy, oil-rich formula of 89 ingredients that is fragranced and carries five declared allergens, so it suits dry skin far better than reactive skin.

What makes it different?

Very few creams print an amount for more than one ingredient, and this label prints eight, which lets a reader see the difference between a working dose and a garnish without having to guess. Sea buckthorn water rather than plain water leads the formula at 308,886ppm, roughly 31 percent. Against that openness sit nine plant seed oils and a fragrance compound at 84 followed by limonene, linalool, hexyl cinnamal, citral and citronellol as the last five items of the list, which is a real reason for sensitive skin to look elsewhere. d'Alba publishes no pH, and it comes in 55g.
