What is this product?

A Korean two-phase hydrating toner from Beauty of Joseon, sold as a 150 mL bottle that has to be shaken before use. The water phase carries a polyol and hyaluronate humectant block, and the second phase is insoluble powders, polymethyl methacrylate, microcrystalline cellulose and kaolin, with an aluminium chlorohydrate salt, which is what the brand sells as sebum adsorption. The rice story is smaller on the label than in the copy: rice extract is printed at 0.1 percent and rice amino acids at 100 ppb, and the rice-water name the copy uses is not in the list. A patch test on this product from a named institution is published without figures. The 30 printed entries include no fragrance entry, no essential oil, no alcohol entry and no exfoliating acid; the one acid entry is citric acid as a buffer.

What makes it different?

A hydrating toner with an adsorbent powder phase, so it is built for skin that is oily and dehydrated at once rather than for dry skin.
