- First cleanse, swept on a saturated cotton pad over dry skin before any water contact; evening makeup removal, or morning as a no-rinse wipe for skin that woke up with only leave-on product on it
- Pairs well with
- A second, water-rinsed cleanser when the day's makeup included a long-wear base or sunscreen
- A leave-on humectant or a light emulsion applied without an intervening rinse
- Don't combine with
- A leave-on AHA or BHA exfoliant applied immediately after wiping, without a rinse in between
- Repeated hard passes with a dry or half-saturated cotton pad on the same area
