What is this product?
Thelavicos Enzyme Washing Powder exfoliates by protease rather than by acid or grit, so it lifts dead skin without abrasive particles and without the low pH an acid exfoliant needs, and the dry 40g format is functional, since proteases break down in water and stay active only while kept dry. The catch is that the official page lists just two ingredients, papain and protease, instead of a full ingredient statement, so nothing that normally decides whether a cleanser is mild can be checked. Its four label claims cover a completed clinical study on exfoliation, inflammatory acne and cleansing, acne-prone suitability, non-irritation and family-wide safety; three of them cite tests with no institution, no panel size and no date, and only the non-irritation one is echoed anywhere else, through a trade article naming a Dermatest Excellent grade.
What makes it different?
An enzyme powder whose exfoliation really is a different mechanism from acid and scrub cleansers, sold with unusually thin disclosure.
