Carenology Reblue Regenerating Serum

What is this product?

Carenology's Reblue Regenerating Serum is a scented floral water with a name it cannot support: six of its 24 ingredients are declared fragrance allergens, printed at positions 19 through 24, alongside three aromatic oils including the blue tansy the line is named for. There is no retinoid, peptide, exfoliating acid, niacinamide or vitamin C anywhere on the label and no amount is printed for anything, so the regeneration claim has nothing standing behind it at product level. What it does have is genuinely calming: two witch hazel hydrosols in place of water, panthenol 9th, beta glucan 17th and licorice root 18th. Reactive skin should skip it.

What makes it different?

Building the whole base out of two witch hazel hydrosols instead of water is a real formulation choice and it is why this reads as an aromatic essence rather than a gel. It is also unusually clean on the malassezia axis, with one qualifying entry on a 24 item list, since the oils here are volatile terpene fractions rather than fatty acid esters. The trade is severe and visible: six declared allergens, limonene, citral, linalool, citronellol, geraniol and eugenol, running consecutively at the end of the label. Nothing on it carries a printed amount, and blue tansy in particular varies widely between distillation batches.
